The Johnson Ranch Municipal Utility District (MUD) is a governmental entity created to finance and manage infrastructure such as water, sewer, drainage, and roads for Johnson Ranch.

  • Tax Rate: Currently $0.8631 per $100 of assessed home value. The Board has adopted exemptions for residents 65+ and those with disabilities.
  • Governance: A five-member elected Board of Directors serves staggered four-year terms. Elections are held every two years in May.
  • Meetings: The Board meets the second Tuesday of each month at noon at the Johnson Ranch Amenity Center, 31020 Clover Pass. Meetings are open to the public.
Responsibilities
  • Water supply and wastewater treatment (operated by the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority).
  • Stormwater drainage management, including ponds, culverts, berms, and channels.
  • Maintenance and repairs of District facilities and easements.
  • Accessing and maintaining facilities within right-of-ways and easements on resident property when necessary.
